Assatas poetry club was started by poetry lovers Mehwish Dar and Neslihan Ramzi two years ago. Once a month they meet on the most colorful patch on Bjørvika at Kunsthall Oslo and read words of grand poets that once were and poets in the making that have become friends. With a focus on poetry from the global south the objective is to offer an alternative to the homogenous literary spaces in Oslo and make poetry more accessible
Assatas poesiklubb ble startet av poesielskerne Mehwish Dar og Neslihan Ramzi for to år siden. En gang i måneden møtes de på det mest fargerike hjørnet på Bjørvika og leser ord fra gamle poeter som en gang var og lokale poeter som har blitt venner. Med fokus på poesi fra det globale sør er målet å tilby et alternativ til de homogene litteraturmiljøene i Oslo, og for å gjøre poesi mer tilgjengelig.
