We'll begin with  'A Cup of Covid', directed by Nefise Özkal Lorentzen. The film explores fragile stories and characters in a black room, highlighting important themes of freedom, truth, and inner strength. One of the characters we encounter in the film is a young woman named Maria.

It is the character Maria in the film that inspired us to invite the priest and author Elisabeth Thorsen to lead tea conversations after the screening. Alongside the film’s director, Nefise Özkal Lorentzen, and the audience, Elisabeth will explore the various ‘Marias’ we encounter in our lives and their significance, all through a feminist interpretation of the Bible.

During the conversation, Elisabeth Thorsen will also share excerpts from her book "Hail Mary! Conversations with Bishop Solveig Fiske on Life, Faith, and Art". This will initiate a broader debate about Maria, narratives, and death, and offer participants an opportunity to reflect on the power of storytelling and the vulnerable narratives presented.
