A woman recalls a mysterious episode from thirty years earlier, when she was a child in the borderlands where Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil meet. She remembers a cursed search for a treasure hidden by a local bandit—a quest that left several of its participants dead or missing, and was rumored to be connected to the shadowy cult of San La Muerte.
