In the second chapter of his empathy trilogy, following Gunda, Victor Kossakovsky transforms an act by the anonymous artist K49814 into a cinematic ode to her overwhelming project. Each movement carries purpose, insisting on another way of relating to the living world, not through domination, but attention, responsibility and care.

Egil Håskjold Larsen’s luminous black-and-white cinematography captures both the grandeur of the landscape and its smallest details. Together with Alexander Dudarev’s enveloping soundscape, wind, water, stone and human movement become an elemental choreography. Trillion gradually expands from an enigmatic physical action into a powerful reckoning with the way humans treat our world and our oceans.
